When it comes to food photography, the dream is to be able to work with gorgeous, fresh dishes like these and this photo shoot definitely makes it onto our “top projects” list.

Situated in the heart of Greenstone, Johannesburg and now with a new store in Sunninghill, you’ll find the super vibrant Sprout Café. A stylish and unique setting in which they tease the senses with deliciously crafted dishes and drinks.
With their vegan inspired food and their regular fitness clientele, Sprout has anchored themselves in the market. And, when you take a look at a few of their dishes here, it’s not at all surprising.
We had such a great time with this shoot, setting it up in natural light and playing around with different geometric backgrounds. This really brought emphasis to the vibrant
It’s always a pleasure to see the love and dedication that a restaurant puts into their food and the attention to detail to ensure that each dish is, not only fresh and appetizing
This, of course, makes for great photography and allows me to work with the natural elements to bring the imagery to life.
Essentially, food photography is product photography and a lot of time is spent on setting the dishes up correctly to incorporate all the elements that make them what they are.
It can often feel like we’re a bunch of scientists working on an experiment, hence my excitement and passion for food photography.
